According to Las Vegas, Nevada court documents, Cycalona Gowen is filing a lawsuit against Tiltware, LLC, in other words, Clonie Gowen is suing Full Tilt Poker.
According to the pokernews.com, the suit revolves around what Gowen claims as "Breach of Contract, Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Breach of the Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, Unjust Enrichment, and Fraud" and is for $40,000,000 in damages.
The defendants named include, Full Tilt players Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Phil Ivey, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, John Juanda, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman-Traniello, Mike Matusow, Allen Cunningham, Gus Hansen, Ray Bitar and Patrick Antonious as well as Full Tilt Poker, Tiltware LLC, Pocket Kings Ltd., Kolyma Corporation, A.V.V.
Apparently, Gowen was told earlier in the week that her services were no longer required and that her name and likeness would be removed from Full Tilt's website, something Gowen claims was a breach of an oral contract that she and Tiltware executives agreed to in 2004.
"Tiltware, LLC, has been made aware of the recent filing of a meritless lawsuit by a former Full Tilt Poker endorser—Ms. Cycalona Gowen," a Tiltware LLC spokesperson told pokernews.com.
"All claims have no merit and there are many inaccuracies improperly and unlawfully asserted by Ms. Gowen within her frivolous complaint. Tiltware LLC expects that this lawsuit will be dealt with accordingly by a competent court in due course."
The claim was filed in the court of Judge Robert C. Jones with Magistrate Judge Robert J. Johnston the referring judge according to dockets.justia.com.
