WagerLogic tournament poker is giving away $8,500 all-expenses paid entries into the Caribbean Poker ClassicTM with 2002 WSOP champion Robert Varkonyi.
The Caribbean Poker ClassicTM televised Championship Event in lavish St. Maarten will be held December 5-11, 2004.
One player who has already qualified for the No Limit Texas Hold 'Em event is Dale Schroeder. He deftly played a run of hot cards in October and qualified at InterPoker.
If you want to join Dale, there are still over 100 spots up for grabs before November 19.
Here's what Dale Schroeder had to say about winning entry into the Caribbean Poker ClassicTM and playing InterPoker:
WO - Did the qualifying for the Caribbean Poker ClassicTM draw you to InterPoker or were you already a player?
DS - I was already a player, but the Caribbean Poker ClassicTM prize was what got me to try the tournament I won. I have been to St. Maarten before and it was awesome!
WO - How long have you been playing InterPoker?
DS - I've been playing InterPoker about a year. When deciding to try Internet poker, I did a search for online poker sites and started trying them off that list. I tried Interpoker, liked the site, and have played there ever since.
WO - Have you played other sites? How does InterPoker compare?
DS - Yes, I have probably played at eight to 10 other sites. Now, I only play at two sites, one of which is InterPoker.
WO - Online poker (and land-based) has gained tremendous popularity lately… why?
DS - Obviously the added television coverage had a lot to do with it. Now, it seems like everyone is having a poker tourney. As far as online, how could it be any easier to get a game anytime day or night, sit down and turn on your computer and (you're) ready to go?
WO - Are you excited about participating in the Caribbean Poker ClassicTM? Nervous?
DS - I'm both excited and nervous. I've played in land-based tournaments, but not this large. Worst-case scenario I'm the first one out and still have a week in the Caribbean.
WO - Are you going to do anything special to stay sharp for the CPC?
DS - Not really! I just hope I'm hooking some good cards in the main event.
