Rules to Obtain UK Poker & Gambling Licenses Unveiled

UK pubs get go ahead to hold poker games

Poker: Spain Targeted for Expansion

UK: Poker could get easier for pubs
thepublican.com - Pubs could find it easier to host poker games under the rules of the new Gambling Act.
At present pubs have to apply for a special licence to host “equal chance gaming”, which includes dominoes, bingo and poker.
But the government is considering allowing pubs to host such games without having to apply for an exemption.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is due to launch a consultation on the types of gaming that will be allowed under the Gambling Act – which comes into effect next September.
