Sportingbet shares soar
LONDON (Reuters) - Sportingbet's Chairman Peter Dicks quit his job with the online bookmaker on Thursday, within minutes of a New York City court ruling that he could leave the United States, sending its shares up 25 percent.
Dicks left the criminal court after a 10-minute hearing. He was given back his passport and made no comment but is expected to return home soon.

Play small pairs cheaply, hope for trips

Unlike higher pairs, small pairs should not be played in all situations. Several factors determine whether you should enter a pot with a small pair: position, chip count, number of players and cost to play.
In a typical 10-handed game, playing a small pair from early position simply won't show you a profit at the end of the year.
