Dealers get their chance to play
When the time came to shuffle up and deal this weekend for a tournament at Binion's Horseshoe Gambling Hall and Hotel in Las Vegas, the dealers where dealing to a select group of their fellow dealers from around the world for the World Poker Dealer Championship.
All public card rooms worldwide were invited to send one of their dealers to represent them at the tournament. Participants are required to wear the uniform and name badges of their casino or card room.

Straight Wins UK Writer £½ million
A Guardian columnist was £500,000 richer last night after becoming the first woman to win the London leg of the European Poker Tour, one of the three biggest poker tournaments in the world.
Victoria Coren, 33, who writes a weekly column, How to Play Poker for G2 and has presented TV poker shows, said she was stunned to win the top prize after producing a [3-7] straight to beat an Australian rival in the final hand.

Harrah's wants WSOP.com
Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. has filed a lawsuit to try to gain possession of the domain name WSOP.com which is currently owned by Federico Schiavio. The company claims that it owns the trademark on the name "World Series of Poker" and has applied for a patent on the name "WSOP" so the site should be passed to them.
