It's not often you find a good gaming directory online. Most of them are link and/or banner farms that virtually define "waste my time".
However there's a poker specific one that's popped up recently that is actually worth checking out. It's called TheOnlinePokers.com, but don't let the odd name throw you because it looks like these guys have really put some effort into it. The Other Danger in Slow Playing
"You've probably heard the standard reason to avoid slow playing: It's dangerous, because when you slow play, you give an opponent a chance to make a bigger hand at a minimal cost. This is absolutely true. But there's another reason to play your big hands fast, and this one isn't talked about as frequently. A slow play can give an opponent a chance to get away from a hand more cheaply than he would have had you played it fast from the start."

TAPP Aims to Legalize Poker in Texas
"Wayne Long used to play small buy-in Texas hold’em tournaments in a bar outside of Houston’s city limits. He even won one of the events, and says the couple who ran the little “beer joint” got assurance from county officials that they wouldn't be bothered, even though holding poker tournaments in a public place in Texas has been illegal for decades.
And the owners were right, the county didn’t bother them at all. It was state officials who came in and shut down the game, which shouldn’t have been a surprise for any of the players who play poker in Texas."

Consumer's Guide to Poker, PART 3
"We learned in the last two articles how to evaluate what it costs to play poker in a public card room. Here are some other considerations for determining how consumer- friendly a poker room is.
Some places cut the rake or reduce the time charge if the game is short handed. This is more significant when there is a rake. Smaller hands mean smaller pots which means that it is more likely that the maximum percentage will be charged. Remember, the larger the pot, the more likely it is that the maximum rake will be met before the pot is won - meaning a relatively smaller rake."

In a dramatic finish, Jacek Ladny, 40, an online qualifier, called a massive bluff by the USA Team Captain Joe Harwell. With A-6 of spades, the ice-cool Warsaw stockbroker called Harwell's unsuited 6-3 to win $20,000 for himself -- and an additional $20,000 for each of his four teammates. "We're going to play poker to see who takes the trophy home," he joked.
