Two Studies Shed Interesting Light
"... while Americans seem to be taking part in the online gaming industry, there is a tremendous amount of distrust of the industry as a whole. More than half of the respondents in the survey said that the offshore companies find ways to cheat their customers and nearly half of those surveyed felt that their fellow players were scheming to cheat."
... Britons indicated in a survey that they want their government to be more involved in the regulation of the online industry than they currently are. In England, a governmental organization known as the Gambling Commission has been set up to enforce the newly modified statutes of the Gambling Act. Play Poker, Win Prison Stripes
Here's another article on Citizen Goodlatte's recent success on getting his latest version of a gambling ban bill passed, including a few words from the crusader himself:

"Virtual betting parlors have attempted to avoid the application of United States law by locating themselves offshore and out of our jurisdictional reach," bill sponsor Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said in a statement. "These offshore, fly-by-night Internet gambling operators are unlicensed, untaxed and unregulated and are sucking billions of dollars out of the United States."

Of course consumer and oil imports alone are "sucking" trillions of dollars out of the United States, but perhaps it's impolite to interrupt the man with this and other inconvenient facts while he's on such a nice roll.

Playing against weak opponents
"Because weak players do not understand the game in as much depth as strong players, they will quite often not succumb to bluffs and advanced strategies. A common example of this would be if there is a flush draw on the board and you have nothing. You go for a big raise trying to give the impression that you have the nuts. The weak player calls and turns over top pair. Most strong players would have recognised your move of a big bet and (if they did not have the flush) would have folded. The weaker player did not notice this call and thinking a top pair is a good hand, called you out. The result is he wins and you lose because the weak player quite simply missed the bluff."
